AN APPEAL
| Respected Sir/Madam,
Our MGM college, one of the premier colleges of this area, has the proud record of having celebrated its golden jubilee. It is also proud of the large number of respectable and responsible alumni. But the college does not have an up-to-date record of the details of it's old students and as a result, it is handicapped in several ways. We feel, alumni of MGM also must be feeling similarly having no association with their alma mater. So, a few of the old students who are on the faculty of MGM and few other well wishers have worked out the preliminaries and have formed a registered forum of alumni of MGM. The main objectives of the forum will be to develop fellowship among the alumni of MGM and to maintain good rapport between the alma mater and the alumni. To achieve these goals we have plans of holding annual conventions, bringing out a hand book containing details of MGM old students, keeping them informed of all major activities achievements, developments taking place MGM etc. The association can be strong only with active and willing support of the large body of old students of MGM. We appeal to you to donate liberally and become patrons of the forum so that a sizable corpus fund can be created for carrying out suitable programs on an ongoing basis. We wish to draw your attention to the fact that donations given to the MGM alumni forum are eligible for income tax concession under 80 g. Meeting of the MGM College alumni forum was held on 2/04/2005 in the conference hall of the college.
The following are the reconstituted trust members and office bearers for the next three years.
In this meeting, the views expressed by some of the senior alumni of the college, in the informal meeting on 28/03/2005 were discussed by the trust members. The treasurer Prof. Srinivasa Upadhyaya presented the statement of Accounts and it was approved.
In accordance with the opinion of the senior alumni it was decided to approach the old students through various means and register them as the official members of the forum. The welfare activities connected with the college and old students would be taken after sufficiently strengthening the forum in terms of membership and corpus fund. It has been resolved at the meeting to request all the old students of MGM College all over the world and not only in India to down load the membership application form and send the filled up form to the e-mail id of the principal.
